Re-live DC Comics' What's Next panel with Batman and more from Seattle's ECCC 2026

DC brought Absolute, Vertigo, and Next Level to Emerald City Comic Con 2026 with major panel led by Batman editor Rob Levin.

2026 is shaping up to be a blockbuster year for DC Comics, with the thriving new Absolute line, the just-relaunched Vertigo imprint, and a reinvestment in its core line with DC's 'Next Level' initative. And on Saturday, March 7 DC brought it to conventions, in its first major appearance at a convention in 2026: Seattle's Emerald City Comic Con. But don't worry, Popverse was there giving play-by-play on the whole thing.

DC's Batman group editor Rob Levin wled a wide-ranging conversation with G. Willow Wilson (Poison Ivy), Denys Cowan (Nightwing), Jason Aaron (Absolute Superman), Tony Fleecs (Deathstroke), Kyle Starks (End of Life), and Jeph Loeb (Batman: H2SH, Batman/Wonder Woman: Truth). In its description of the panel, DC labeled it as "join top DC storytellers for a conversation diving deep into DC’s comics, including DC: Next Level, DC Vertigo, DC’s Absolute comic books, and more."

Graeme McMillan

Graeme McMillan: Popverse Editor Graeme McMillan (he/him) has been writing about comics, culture, and comics culture on the internet for close to two decades at this point, which is terrifying to admit. He completely understands if you have problems understanding his accent.
