We always need more anime about cosplay, of course.

Even though the Spring 2024 anime season is just now finding its footing, we’re already looking forward to what summer has in store for us. One of the shows that looks set to make a big impression is 2.5 Dimensional Seduction, which is getting an anime adaptation this year. The release date for 2.5 Dimensional Seduction is fast approaching, but when will it be?

The first episode of 2.5 Dimensional Seduction is set to air on July 5, 2024 in Japan, though an exact time hasn't been announced yet. It also hasn't been confirmed if any streaming sites like Crunchyroll will pick it up, but it feels exactly like the kind of show they'd pick up for their summer simulcast line-up.

2.5 Dimensional Seduction is about a second-year high school student named Masamune Okumura who is the president of the school’s manga club. He’s also the club’s only member and a massive otaku with no interest in girls in the real world. All his affection is saved for his favorite fictional character, Liliel, but that starts to change when Lilysa, a first-year student at the school with a love for cosplay, joins the club and the two discover that they both love Liliel. What are the odds?

Similar to My Dress-Up Darling, 2.5 Dimensional Seduction looks like it will be a bit heavy on the fan service but will still have plenty of great cosplay content and cute teenage romance to keep fans hooked throughout the first season.

2.5 Dimensional Seduction's first season will begin on July 5, 2024, with new episodes airing weekly after that. It is already booked to run for two consecutive cours, meaning that the first season will run through the Summer and Fall anime seasons and likely be around 25 episodes long.
