Luckily for all of us, Netflix has renewed Dandadan for a second season. At the moment, the second season is poised to arrive in July 2025.

What type of anime is Dandadan?

Dandadan would be classified as a shonen anime, given that the manga has been published on Shonen Jump+ in Japan. For those who don't know, "shonen" refers to stories geared towards teenage boys. Shonen anime and manga are contrasted with seinen, which are stories marketed towards young adult men.

Is Dandadan similar to Chainsaw Man?

You could say that Dandadan is similar to Chainsaw Man in that both of them are shonen stories with well-received anime adaptations. Like Chainsaw Man, Dandadan is part of a new wave of shonen manga and anime that are becoming popular outside of Japan. Gone are the days when the shonen genre was only dominated by Dragon Ball, Naruto, and One Piece.

Is Dandadan finished?

Good news for all of you manga readers: Dandadan is still ongoing. There are no plans for the manga to finish any time soon.

What is the main plot of Dandadan?

The main plot of Dandadan is simple. A girl with psychic powers who believes in ghosts, but not aliens, has to team up with a boy who believes in aliens, but not ghosts, in order to take down the supernatural phenomena around them. Now imagine if there was a version of Dandadan but instead of ghosts and aliens, it was cowboys and aliens. But I'm getting ahead of myself here.
