Cosplay is a magical hobby that lets fans embody their favorite characters from TV, film, and anime. For some, that means hitting the convention floor for a weekend of shopping and socializing. For a pair of Jujutsu Kaisen fans, it means getting up on stage with Megan Thee Stallion and twerking as Saturo Gojo and Sukuna.
Yes, you read that right. It happened in Detroit during Megan Thee Stallion’s Hot Girl Summer Tour. The video that was posted to social media shows the pair of cosplayers, who go by GreenEyes0314 and QveenQuinn on Twitter/X, standing rather inconspicuously on stage as the rapper admired their outfits. Then the baseline kicked in and Gojo went to work. This was some world-class twerking and, judging by the way her jaw hit the floor, even Megan Thee Stallion was impressed.

However, should we really be surprised? This sort of behavior is entirely on brand for both Thee Stallion, who is a well-documented anime fan who has appeared in music videos and at the Crunchyroll Awards in outfits inspired by anime characters, and for Gojo, who absolutely would not think twice about hopping up on stage and showing the rapper exactly how it is done. This is just another example of how anime is a growing and thriving medium that has fans in every background all over the world. Even our favorite superheroes are fans. It is becoming more and more likely that the person you’re next to in the club is not-so-secretly a Jujutsu Kaisen fan and we love it.
The lesson we’re taking from this is that, if you show up to her show in anime cosplay, Megan Thee Stallion might pull you up on stage and, if she does, it is your civic duty not to throw away your shot.
