It has been one of the surprise hits of the Spring 2024 anime season (despite some big competition from shows like Kaiju No. 8 and Demon Slayer), so it isn’t entirely shocking that we’ll be getting more WIND BREAKER episodes in the future. As soon as the first season finished airing in Japan, the studio was quick to confirm that WIND BREAKER season two was already confirmed and even gave us a (suitably vague) release window.

We don’t yet have a real release date for WIND BREAKER season two, but we do know that it will air sometime in 2025 and will once again be streamed on Crunchyroll for fans outside of Japan. The announcement came just after the season one finale of the anime on June 27, 2024.

If you haven’t watched it yet, the best way to describe the WIND BREAKER anime is Tokyo Revengers without the time travel. It follows Haruka Sakura, a first-year student who has been ostracized his whole life due to his heterochromia in his hair and eyes and the fact that he has absolutely no social skills. That experience has, however, made him a skilled fighter – something that comes in handy when he enrolls at Furin High School, which has a reputation for valuing strength over academics.

Here, his skills earn the reputation of a group of students called Bofurin, who take it upon themselves to protect their town from harm. Haruka slowly learns to handle being accepted and even liked by his peers as he engages in more and more dramatic brawls.

There is no definite release date for WIND BREAKER season two, though it has been confirmed that it will air sometime during 2025.
