Argylle cast: Who is joining Henry Cavill in the upcoming spy-thriller?

We're most excited for the debut performance of Chip the Cat, personally.

The cast of Argylle features some big names for Matthew Vaughn’s spy-thriller. Ever since the first trailer dropped over the summer, fans have been fascinated by the over-the-top action, a premise that seems to be breaking the fourth wall, and (ahem) interesting hairstyle choices for leading man Henry Cavill. Though Cavill gets top billing on the poster and the trailer, he isn’t the only familiar face in the film.

Based on a book by an author no one knows anything about, Argylle is about a best-selling author who finds herself – and her adorable cat – embroiled in the plot of one of her own spy books. Between shootouts, exploding ships, and frantic chase scenes, she comes face-to-face with the real version of her creation, a charming and deadly superspy named Argylle. It is all delightfully strange and meta.

The cast of Argylle is:

  • Henry Cavill as Argylle
  • Bryce Dallas Howard as Elly Conway
  • Sam Rockwell as Aiden
  • Bryan Cranston as Ritter
  • Catherine O’Hara as Ruth, Elly’s mother
  • Dua Lipa as LaGrange
  • Ariana DeBose as Keira
  • John Cena as Wyatt
  • Samuel L. Jackson as Alfred Solomon
  • Sofia Boutella as Saba Al-Badr
  • Richard E. Grant as Fowler
  • Chip the Cat as Alfie
  • Rob Delaney in an undisclosed role
  • Jing Lusi in an undisclosed role

While the cast includes some established Hollywood stars, it also marks the first appearance of Chip, Matthew Vaughn’s family cat, on screen, something that the director discussed at length when he was at New York Comic Con 2023.

Argylle is due to hit cinemas on February 2, 2024 before landing on Apple TV+ sometime in the future.
