Graphic novels are becoming increasingly part of the classroom experience in higher education there has been a larger emphasis on stories of illness and health being presented in this format and the field of Graphic Medicine keeps growing in popularity. Trying to rally together institutional support identify appropriate content for students and share resources to meet regularly can be difficult. Hear firsthand experiences from educators and artists who have created a space both in-person and online for reading discussing and teaching these kinds of texts. By engaging in a conversation about the successes challenges and best practices for forming these kinds of meeting groups and spaces to explore graphic medicine texts collaboratively other educators can learn strategies to create similar programming in their schools and libraries.
