When we first waltzed into the world of Bridgerton, we did so with lead star Phoebe Dynevor, who played Daphne Bridgerton. But as the series and spinoffs have promenaded on, she has stepped out of the limelight with only a cameo in season 2. And now we know she is off-screen for all of the upcoming third season.
When asked directly about if she was part of season 3, Dynevor said no - but left the door open for more.
"Sadly not in season 3. Potentially in the future," Dynevor told Screenrant. "But season 3, I'm just excited to watch as a viewer."
In another interview, Dynevor inferred that her contract with Netflix for Bridgerton was up - but she'd consider the right offer to return.
“Well I did my two seasons,” Dynevor told Variety. “I’ve done what I wanted to do with that character and she had a great arc. If they ask me back in the future, who knows?”
Much like her Bridgerton season 1 co-star Regé-Jean Page, Dynevor has landed numerous movie & TV roles since her star-turn in Bridgerton including an Amazon Prime Video TV series called Exciting Times, and a romance movie called The Threesome, and more.
