Chicago's C2E2 has been going strong since 2010, but for this year's event taking place April 26 through 28, one area is getting a dramatic new upgrade. The gaming area, a longtime haven for those of us who love to play, now is being organized under the name Side Quest - so you can participate in your own side quest while at C2E2... or like some side quests I've been on, make it your main mission all weekend.

C2E2's Side Quest will have board games, tabletop RPGs, video gaming, LARPing, and more - even including an escape room. Companies taking part in C2E2 2024's Side Quest include Thunderforge Studios, Hoplite Games, I Play Games!, Rough Magic Games, Galloping Ghost Arcade, and Amtgard.

They will even have some demos of new and upcoming games you can play yourself, such as The Boys: This Is Going to Hurt, Apothecary: Plague Doctors, Dragonbane, and The One Ring.

For more details including costs and sign-ups, visit C2E2's Side Quest area of its website.
