There's not a whole lot that we know about the upcoming Mad Max: Fury Road prequel Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga. Beyond the fact that we're following Furiosa in her early years, all we've got to go by is the trailer, which promises a tale of revenge. But revenge against whom?
In this Mad Max: Fury Road prequel, Chris Hemsworth will be playing the Warlord Dementus who seems, from the trailer, to be a cult leader of some sort. At CinemaCon's Warner Bros presentation this year, Chris Hemsworth took the stage (alongside director George Miller and Furiosa star Anya Taylor-Joy) to talk about the film and his character (Without giving too much away, of course).

Chris Hemsworth called Dementus "a twisted, cruel character," with "an element of charisma." Hemsworth shared that while preparing for the role, he looked to a lot of historical dictators and observed how they manipulated people, but also gathered them together.
George Miller also chimed in to share his own thoughts on the character, saying "It's an unusual character. There's something unique about him," and adding that he chose Hemsworth for the role because "[Hemsworth] has got a lot of dimensions to him."
Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga hits theaters May 24, 2024. Buy tickets on Fandango or Atom Tickets.
