Patience is going to be a virtue with this one.

One of the greatest comeback stories in film history is about to come to an end. The sixth and final season of Cobra Kai is due to land on Netflix later this year. Almost two years after season five aired on the streamer, The Karate Kid saga is set to wrap up, but fans will need to wait a while after the Cobra Kai season six release date to see the final episodes.

In a testament to how big the final season of Cobra Kai is expected to be, Netflix is stretching its release date over multiple months. Instead of releasing all 15 episodes at once, Cobra Kai season six will instead debut over three parts, with the first batch of episodes releasing on July 18, 2024.

Instead of releasing the rest of the episodes a few weeks later, fans will have to wait until Thanksgiving to see more. Part two of Cobra Kai season six won’t be released until November 28, 2024. In the ultimate test of our discipline and patience, Netflix isn’t finishing the season until sometime next year. The final episodes of Cobra Kai, which have been dubbed The Finale Event, don’t have a specific release date yet. Instead, it will be out in 2025.

The Cobra Kai season six release dates are:

  • Cobra Kai Season 6 Part 1 (Episodes 1-5) – July 18, 2024
  • Cobra Kai Season 6 Part 2 (Episodes 6-10) – November 28, 2024
  • Cobra Kai Season 6 The Finale Event (Episodes 11-15)– 2025

This is a very strange release schedule, even for Netflix, but Cobra Kai season six has an above average episode count for the streamer so it makes sense that they would try to string it out a bit longer than usual. We’ve been waiting nearly 40 years to see the conclusion to this story – what’s one more year?
