The Boys co-creator Garth Ennis comes to Image Comics to clean up monster messes with new horror comedy Freddie The Fix

Garth Ennis is teaming with artist Mike Perkins for the one-shot Freddie the Fix, coming from Image this December

Sure, everyone knows that monsters are the dark underbelly of our collective subconscious and society’s unmanifested fears come to life, arriving on the scene to terrify us and destroy our sense of safety, but… who do the monsters call on when things go wrong, instead of going bump in the night? Garth Ennis — the man behind Preacher and The Boys — knows who… and this December, he’s teaming with Image Comics to introduce the world to Freddie the Fix.

Co-created by Ennis and artist Mike Perkins (The Bat-Man: First Knight, Captain America), the one-off issue is described like this by the publisher: “Hollywood After Dark—werewolves, vampires, zombies, aliens, bogeymen, predators, and...things. They all have their kinks, and they all get in deep shit. They all call Freddie…to fix it. The horror-skewed intersection of The Boys and Ray Donovan. The debut offering from Ninth Circle, the creator-owned, creator-driven, horror showcase of standalone bone-chilling tales of terror and mayhem!”

(Yes, we’re very interested to learn more about Ninth Circle, as well…)

In case you can’t wait until the end of the year to meet Freddie, don’t worry: we have some preview pages showing off Perkins’ exquisite artwork, courtesy of Image Comics:

Freddie the Fix will be released December 11. Look for more on the title — and Ninth Circle — in the coming weeks.
