Iron Man and X-Men writer Gerry Duggan is releasing his "visual autobiography" of his comics life (and comics friends) with Image Comics

Duggan's portraits of colleagues and friends including Stan Lee, Patton Oswalt, Sarah Silverman, Todd McFarlane, and many more are contained in the new softcover collection, out in November

Most comic book fans are familiar with Gerry Duggan through his writing work on titles such as Dead Eyes, Falling in Love on the Path to Hell, and Marvel’s X-Men and Invincible Iron Man, but he’s also quite the photographer — a fact he’s celebrating with Timing/Luck, a collection of photographs taken across two decades and around the world, featuring some of your favorite comic book creators, comedians, and more.

Duggan’s original release of Timing/Luck was as a crowdfunded limited edition, but fans who missed out on that initial release will get their own chance to see his work in a new softcover edition coming from Image Comics this November.

“Timing/Luck is a visual autobiography of my time in Los Angeles as the worlds of comics and Hollywood began to overlap,” Duggan explained in a statement provided by Image. “It's been my privilege to work with so many talented artists and travel the world in support of the work. After the successful crowdfunding effort on the limited edition, I'm proud to publish the softcover at Image Comics, my longtime home for creator-owned collaborations.”

Wondering who you’re going to see in this new edition? Image helpfully provided a partial list, which goes like this: “Patton Oswalt, Sarah Silverman, Stan Lee, Mark Hamill, Todd McFarlane, Robert Kirkman, Eric Stephenson, Marc Silvestri, James Tynion IV, Brian Posehn, Kevin Feige, Vita Ayala, Jason Aaron, Rick Remender, Matt Fraction, Chip Zdarsky, Jeff Lemire, Tini Howard, Skottie Young, John McCrea, Jock, Leah Williams, Brian K. Vaughn, Christopher Priest, Charles Soule, G. Willow Wilson, Brian Azzarello, and Declan Shalvey, amongst many others.” (Remember, that’s a partial list.)

Timing/Luck will be released November 6 in comic book stores, and November 19 in bookstores.
