Legendary X-Men creator Chris Claremont has a new 5-issue Marvel Comics series with the mutants coming
Chris Claremont is once again working on an X-Men book, with an announcement imminent

Chris Claremont is working on a new five-issue X-Men series for Marvel Comics. According to a source familiar with the project, this as-yet-unannounced X-Men book was intended to be announced this fall but has been pushed back due to delays with his current Wolverine: Deep Cut limited series. It is unclear if this is a team book, or a solo series focuses on a single character.
This new project would be the third series in an unnamed long-form work for Claremont and Marvel, having him revisit key moments in his past X-Men stories and exploring untraveled avenues such as seen in the recent Wolverine: Madripoor Knights series and the current Wolverine: Deep Cut series.
X-Men group editor Tom Brevoort has said in the recent past that he doesn't see a place for Claremont writing present-day mutant stories. Although not stated outright, having Claremont doing these stories set in the past allows him to revisit key moments he's known for without having to adhere to larger continuity of the X-Men being laid out by the numerous writers (and editors) on the present-day X-Men books.
If I had a vote (which I don't), I'd love to see Claremont revisit the unpublished Rachel Grey/Phoenix miniseries he and Rick Leonardi began work on decades ago, or some kind of alt-universe storyline exploring his original plans for the X-Men / Uncanny X-Men 'Mutant Genesis' era with Jim Lee and Whilce Portacio.
