Arrow's Stephen Amell is up for joining James Gunn's new DC cinematic universe (if you want him, that is)
Stephen Amell would welcome the opportunity play Oliver Queen again, but only if it’s for a project that makes the fans happy.

It’s the dawn of a new DC Universe. James Gunn and Peter Safran are currently developing a cinematic continuity for DC’s film slate, which will see new versions of the company’s characters in movies, television, and more. However, that doesn’t mean some familiar faces can’t show up.
During a spotlight panel at Megacon 2024, Arrow star Stephen Amell was asked about the possibility of reprising his role as Oliver Queen for Gunn’s DCU. "With the DC Universe getting rebooted with James Gunn now, by the time that they eventually get to their Crisis on Infinite Earths, how open would you be to return as Oliver Queen, whether it’s a cameo or hopefully a bigger role," the fan asked.
Amell was open to the idea, but only under the right circumstances. “I love playing the character, and I loved being a custodian for the character. People have their favorite versions of characters, but nobody gets to play a character forever. Eventually, someone else will play them (pauses) probably. If the opportunity is right, then it’s right. And if it’s not, then whatever. It really is as simple as do I think the people that invested eight years of their life, and 170 episodes, is it going to make them happy? Because if it does, then it will make me happy.”
Dear James Gunn, this will make me and other fans happy. You don’t have to do it right away, but if you ever do a multiverse story, please bring Stephen Amell back as Oliver Queen.
