The world of Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba is a brutal one, but that doesn’t mean people aren’t eager to jump into it. If the video games and anime aren’t close enough to the action for you, good news: now you can immerse yourself in the action completely thanks to a new VR attraction from Sony coming next year.

Imagine walking around the Entertainment District of Yoshiwara, with all the sights and sounds that come with it, as Tanjiro and Tengen battle against a pair of Upper Ranked demons. It sounds terrifying, yet undeniably cool to us, especially with the extra features that the new attraction has promised. According to the initial press release, the 1200-foot complex will include floor vibrations and water jets that spray visitors during opportune moments along with the immersive sights and sounds we expect from VR rides.

The catch? You’ll need to head to Tokyo to play the game, which is set to open up in Fall 2024. While Demon Slayer has proven to be the big selling point of the attraction so far, it will also let visitors experience selected concerts from acts signed to Sony’s record label and PlayStation games like Gran Turismo. It is an ambitious project that aims to capitalize on the extensive catalog of media under the Sony umbrella.

The fact that Sony owns the popular anime streaming site Crunchyroll means that we could see even more anime come to the attraction. We’d love to have an adventure with Goku or Luffy along with Tanjiro the next time we can make our way to Tokyo.

Slay on, Demon Slayer. As we prep for new installments of the Demon Slayer anime, here's a survival kit to help you. First, a guide to all the major Demon Slayer characters. Second, recommendations for how (and where) to watch all of Demon Slayer. Third, context of why Demon Slayer is so popular. Fourth, when we think Demon Slayer season 4 is coming out. And also, how Demon Slayer ends (at least in the manga).

And as a bonus, you can watch the full NYCC Demon Slayer panel with the voice cast.
