Drag Race México hosts Lolita Banana and Valentina declare it is a "melting pot of emotion"
"We are so excited, both Lolita and I," Valentina says of Drag Race México
On Wednesday this week the RuPaul's Drag Race franchise added its twentieth spinoff: Drag Race: México. This installment is hosted by the original America installament's season 9 fan favorite and All Stars season 4 contestant, Valentina alongside Drag Race: France season 1 finalist, Lolita Banana. This isn't the first international franchise to be hosted by a former Drag Race contestant, but Lolita Banana's one year turn around from competing to hosting feel lightning fast and Drag Race: México is the first franchise to boast 2 former competitors co-hosting a franchise of their very own.
Popverse’s Ashley V. Robinson was fortunate to catch Valentina (in full drag!), and Lolita Banana remotely on Enter the Popverse to chat about their ascension to Drag Race: México hosts and what makes the newest franchise so special.
“We are so excited, both Lolita and I,” Valentina gushes to Popverse, "and we are just - we're all so nervous! We're all so nervous, though. It's a melting pot of emotion. There's highs, there's lows, there's anxiousness, there's excitement, there's hope. It's just such an honor to be in this position for us."
