Rebecca Yarros' Fourth Wing flies into TV deal with Amazon

Millions of people have read Rebecca Yarros' fantasy novel Fourth Wing, and a sequel is on its way that will no doubt be read by millions more.

And now, so is a TV series.

As reported by Deadline, Amazon has picked up the rights to create a live-action Fourth Wing TV series. The deal was made with Michael B. Jordan's Outlier Society shingle; Jordan will act as executive producer alongside Yarros and a representative from the original book's publisher, Entangled Publishing's Liz Pellettier.

And better yet, Amazon and the people involved have plans for success. If the Fourth Wing TV show takes off (like I hope it will), adaptations of the future books in Yarros' the Empyrean series won't be additional seasons - but each new book will be a new TV show.

Fourth Wing's first sequel, Iron Flame, comes out November 7. Given Fourth Wing came out in May 2 of this year, there might be a stackful of The Empyrean books by the time the Fourth Wing TV series finally comes out.

One of the key things of the Fourth Wing series (like many book adaptations) will be hearing for the first time how certain unique words to the franchise are pronounced. Popverse's Veronica Valencia interviewed Rebecca Yarros earlier this month at New York Comic Con, and that was one of the things we actually asked about (and got answers to!).
