A live-action Baldur’s Gate 3 series? The cast is ready if Netflix ever calls

The Baldur’s Gate 3 cast want Netflix to produce a live-action series based on the game

We’re living in a golden age of prestige video game television. Games like The Last of Us, Arcane, and Fallout have been adapted for television to great success. Could Baldur’s Gate 3 be next?

In 2023 there were rumors that Netflix was seeking to develop a Baldur’s Gate 3 television series, but as of this writing nothing has panned out. However, Netflix is developing a Dungeons & Dragons series, which opens the door to Baldur’s Gate 3. If this happens, the Baldur’s Gate 3 cast is ready to reprise their characters in live-action.

“Netflix. If you’re watching, we hear you’re developing a live-action, something to do with Dungeons & Dragons. We’re here to tell you that you can cast us,” Lae’zel actor Devora Wilde says during a Baldur's Gate 3 panel this weekend at Emerald City Comic Con 2025.

“We’re available,” Astarion actor Neil Newbon adds. “We’re available. We’re free. Let’s just say we will move some stuff around,” Wilde continues.

“I think the fact that we all got to live in full performance with the character made such a difference to the performances. It would be amazing to extend into live-action,” Newbon adds, referring to their experience with motion capture.

Who knows? Perhaps a Baldur’s Gate 3 Netflix series could be the next great television show.
