After conquering Madison Square Garden. TTRPG titans Dimension 20 set to mountain to conquer: WEBTOON comics with Fantasy High

Fantasy High first aired in 2018 and has spawned multiple sequel campaigns over the years, making it one of the most successful D&D actual play campagins.

D&D fans continue to enjoy their moment in the limelight. What was once a niche hobby continues to expand into other areas of pop culture. A fourth season of Critical Role’s The Legend of Vox Machina is on its way as well as an animated series based on the Might Nein campaign. However, it isn’t just Critical Role that is getting plenty of attention. WEBTOON has announced that Dimension 20’s Fantasy High series is going to be turned into a new webcomic in Spring 2025.

With a mix of comedy, drama, and genuinely touching moments throughout, Fantasy High is one of the best tabletop actual play podcasts to come out of D&D’s recent resurgence. The series has had multiple campaigns over the years as the young heroes study to become full adventurers at Aguefort Adventuring Academy. A D&D adventure with the tone of a John Hughes movie, Fantasy High was the first campaign aired by Dimension 20 back in 2018, with multiple sequel campaigns spawning from its initial success.

“Just like the most compelling comic storytelling, tabletop role-playing games offer incredibly rich worlds, dynamic characters, and boundless creativity,” Head of US at WEBTOON Entertainment David S. Lee said as the webcomic adaptation of Dimension 20’s Fantasy High was announced. “We’re thrilled to bring Dimension 20’s magic, humor, and adventure to WEBTOON, delivering immersive world-building and a visual experience fans will love.”

Fantasy High’s webcomic adaptation will be part of the WEBTOON platform’s Spring 2025 line-up. A more specific release date is expected to follow closer to the series premiere.
