Hasbro synergy runs wild in brand new Mr. Potato Head/Dungeons & Dragons crossover toy (and we want one)

What happens when you put a mashed potato and an extra-dimensional eye monster in a mash up? The answer is surprisingly cute

I have five words I want you to think about for a second. Are you ready?

Extradimensional Potato Head Horror Monster.

If that seems like a contradiction in terms — or, at least, a concept that most people wouldn’t think of themselves. Thankfully, we didn’t have to; the fine folks at Hasbro did, with the new crossover toy D&D Icons of the Realms: Potato Head Beholder Boxed Miniature unveiled at game manufacturers convention GAMA Expo 2025, taking place through February 27 in Louisville, KY.

Mixing the popular Potato Head with the so-called “sphere of many eyes” of D&D lore might seem like a nightmarish combination, but judging from pre-order images, it’s actually… surprisingly cute?

The official description of the item, from Hasbro, reads: “Bring together two iconic pop culture brands with the D&D Icons of the Realms: Potato Head Beholder Boxed Miniature! This 3-inch-tall Potato Head Beholder has mounts to fit a variety of customizable components, including several eyestalks, a hat, a central eye, and a mouth. Sitting on a 50mm clear plastic base, the miniature is appropriately sized to be used as a beholder in your next game of Dungeons & Dragons. The Potato Head Beholder makes a great addition to any D&D miniatures collection!”

The list of accessories contained in the set feels, in its own way, wonderfully horrific in its description:

  • 10 Eye Stalks, including 1 Fire Ray Eye Stalk and 1 Lightning Ray Eye Stalk.
  • 1 Central Eye
  • 1 Central Eye with Lashes
  • 1 Angry Central Eye
  • 1 Pair of Glasses
  • 1 Bag of Holding
  • 1 Hat
  • 1 Moustache Mouth
  • 1 Fanged Mouth
  • 1 Pair of Red Lips
  • 1 Tongue

The D&D Icons of the Realms: Potato Head Beholder Boxed Miniature will be released later in 2025. You know that you want one, no matter how terrifying it really is.
