Spend this weekend with your crush, the surprise 5 foot-tall Astarion Funko Pop from Baldur's Gate 3 here at Seattle's ECCC 2025

He's tall, dark, and vinyl. And he may have just been the hottest bachelor at Emerald City Comic Con 2025

The Pacific Northwest's premiere comic + pop culture show Emerald City Comic Con returns soon - March 6 through 9 to be exact. Stay tuned to Popverse for all the ECCC 2025 news, our recs for what to do at ECCC 2025, where to find Popverse, and buy tickets now to find your place at the Seattle staple.

High at the top of the Seattle Convention Center, past the legions of armed and armored LARPers, and through the doors of The Tavern, there stands a Man. Towering, mysterious, with flowing hair and eyes as deep as they are plastic, he is the crowning achievement of the Funko event spaces at Emerald City Comic Con 2025: the 5-foot-tall Funko Pop of Astarion, the roguish vampire High Elf of Baldur's Gate 3.

And as I'm sure I don't need to tell you, he is currently the most sought-after man at this year's Emerald City Comic Con.

Stationed in the Tavern area of the Seattle Convention Center's Summit building, Astarion has been one of the most photographed things at Seattle's premiere pop culture events only one day into the convention.  Why? The answer changes depending on who's asking. For some lovestruck visitors, it could be familiarity - Baldur's Gate 3 allows players to romance Astarion, and by bringing him to the convention, Funko was essentially connecting fans to The One That Got Away.

Or maybe it's a height thing. This Astarion stands at the equivalent of about 15 of his fellow Funko Pops (average size), so if tall boys get you going, he's certainly your man. (As an aside, how do you feel about tall boys who are also 50% face?)

But maybe the real reason that so many consumed connoisseurs flock to the 5-foot-tall Astarion is not what he looks like, but what he can do. That is: listen. There is nothing you can't tell Large Pop Astarion; and there is no one he will divulge your information to. Tell him your hopes, your fears, your most secret desires and darkest regrets. His pointy ears are massive, and he has no mouth to judge you with. Can your "real people" with their "human sentience and mobility" do the same?

I don't think so.

Go see the 5-foot-tall Astarion Funko Pop on Floor 5 of the Summit building of the Seattle Convention Center. But be warned, if your heart goes astray while you visit, it's not going to show up in the Lost & Found.
