First look at Marvel x Magic: The Gathering Spider-Man deck reveals new powers, fun quirks, and a lot of Venom symbiotes

The new cards include iconic Spider-Man villains and attacks - but they come with a spectacular price-tag.

We’ve talked before about how Spider-Man remains the biggest name at Marvel by some margin, so we’re not surprised to see him swing his way into other properties. Spidey’s next big outing isn’t in comics or movies, though – it is in card form as Magic: The Gathering is releasing a new Spider-Man set to add to your deck.

The Spider-Man deck in Magic: The Gathering is due out on September 26, 2025, but prices and the first six cards in the set have already been released. The first few cards include a trio of villains, some iconic attacks, and, of course, the wall-crawler himself. These six cards can be put together to form a scene of Spider-Man tackling the Sinister Six (or at least half of them) when laid side-by-side.

The first six cards in the Spider-Man / Magic: The Gathering crossover are:

  • Sensational Spider-Man
  • Doc-Ock, Evil Inventor
  • Venom, Deadly Devourer
  • Green Goblin, Nemesis
  • Grasping Tentacles
  • Pumpkin Bombs

In addition to these cards, there is more on the way. Booster packs are available at $6.99 each or $209.70 for a box of 30. A Collector Booster pack is also available for $37.99 each. There is also Magic: The Gathering / Marvel’s Spider-Man Bundle for sale, though it will cost you $69.99.

These prices seem to include the $1.50 markup that Wizards of the Coast has included in these crossover decks since the Final Fantasy collection was announced for sale in June 2025. These prices are available for pre-order now on Amazon before scalpers and resellers get their hands on them and flog them for an extortionate markup.

The Magic: The Gathering Spider-Man will be released on September 26, 2025 and is currently available for pre-order from Amazon or from your local friendly game store.

You don't need to beat the game to prepare for the next one—here are all the major new and upcoming games coming our way.
