Marvel Snap Prehistoric Avengers "impossible" challenge asks players to build a deck with a card that hasn't been released yet

Asking players to build a deck with a card still two weeks from being released really ups the difficulty of this Marvel Snap Weekend Challenge.

Every season, Marvel Snap introduces a new set of timed challenges for players to complete. These range from winning a certain number of matches to using specific cards’ powers. However, over the weekend, one of Marvel Snap’s challenges was impossible to complete due to it requiring a card that hasn’t been released yet.

This bugged Marvel Snap weekend challenge was part of the Prehistoric Avengers season. It asked players to build a deck featuring Khonshu. The problem? Khonshu isn’t scheduled to be released until March 25, more than two weeks after the challenge ended, making it effectively impossible to complete.

The text on the challenge reads “Win with Khonshu starting in your deck,” and offers up 200 Collector’s Tokens as a reward. Of course, since Khonshu isn’t set to be released until the last week of the Prehistoric Avengers season, no one has been able to complete it. It is mostly a minor annoyance – another Weekend Challenge will take its place and offer a similar reward shortly – so we don’t expect developer Second Dinner to offer compensation for the mix-up.

Most likely, this has happened because of a simple scheduling error. The Khonshu challenge was probably meant to run in the last weekend of March to give players an incentive to get those Spotlight Caches and unlock the latest card in the Prehistoric Avengers season of Marvel Snap. It does, however, come on the heels of a bug in the Sanctum Showdown that prevented scrolls from recharging so we’re hoping it isn’t a sign that the developers are getting stretched a bit too thin.
