Now that Marvel Snap is free of the TikTok band, it is time for players to start looking forward to the next season’s content. With the MCU’s Captain America: Brave New World coming out on February 14, this is the perfect time to have a Captain America-themed season, which is exactly what Marvel Snap is delivering.

It isn’t just a new set of cards coming to Marvel Snap in this new season – there are also some new game modes to try out plus a whole host of rewards for logging in each day starting on February 4, 2025 when the new season begins.

Marvel Snap introduces Character Mastery

If cosmetics are your thing, then this new feature will be right up your alley. Character Mastery rewards players for playing specific cards repeatedly, earning XP that can be used to unlock new card finishes, new borders, new card flairs, and emote reaction sets.

How to play Sanctum Showdown in Marvel Snap

As part of the new season of Marvel Snap, the developers have included a limited-time mode that rewards players for each location they are winning. Each turn, one location in the game will turn into the Sanctum. If you are winning it at the end of the round, you earn four points (five points on a Snap). The first player to earn 16 points wins the round.

Sanctum Showdown offers new emotes and even some rare cards as rewards for getting enough points.

New cards coming to Marvel Snap in February 2025

As you might expect, the new cards coming to Marvel Snap this season feature characters from Captain America: Brave New World.

• Sam Wilson: Captain America – Game Start: Add Cap’s Shield to a random location. Ongoing: You can move Cap’s Shield.
• Cap’s Shield – Ongoing: This can’t be destroyed. Give your Cap +2 Power when this moves to Cap’s location.
• Joaquin Torres: Falcon – Ongoing: The On Reveal abilities of your 1-Cost cards here happen twice.
• Thaddeus “Thunderbolt” Ross – When your opponent ends a turn with unspent energy, draw a card with 10 or more Power.
• Redwing – The first time this moves, add a card from your hand to the old location.
• Diamondback – Ongoing: Enemy cards here afflicted with negative Power have an additional -2 Power.
• Uncle Ben – When this card is destroyed, replace it with Spider-Man.
• Gorgon – Ongoing: Your opponent’s cards that didn’t start in their deck cost 1 more (maximum 6)
• Laufey – On Reveal: Steal 1 Power from each other card here.

New Locations in Marvel Snap

Two new locations could pop up as you play Marvel Snap starting with this season. They are:

• Madripoor – After each turn, give the highest-cost card(s) here +2 Power.
• Smithsonian Museum – Your cards here have +1 Power for each Ongoing among them.

The new season of Marvel Snap begins on February 4, just in time to get you hyped before Captain America: Brave New World is released on February 14.
