What do you do when your house is haunted? Most of us would move out, but Sam and Jay decide to stick around because having a parade of historical ghosts coming through your bedroom at least keeps things interesting. For three seasons now, the pair have helped usher their undead roommates into the afterlife. Season three of Ghosts is coming to a close soon, with the final episode due out in just a couple of weeks.
Ghosts’ third season began airing in February 2024 and consists of ten episodes in total. Season three is due to end as all great sitcom seasons should – with a wedding – on May 2, 2024, but that doesn’t mean that it will be the end of the Arondekar’s adventures in afterlife relationships as the show has already been renewed for a fourth season.
The joy of Ghosts, both the original British version that ran from 2019 to 2023 and the US version, is how the writers are free to pull from almost any historical period for new characters. As long as it is even passingly plausible that someone might have made their way to Upstate New York and died in proximity to the Arondekar’s rapidly crumbling stately home, almost anyone can show up. That’s why we’ve had Vikings, gay Confederate soldiers, and hippies all make appearances and it is why we’re still excited for Ghosts even as season three comes a close and season four is on its way.
The Ghosts season three finale will air on May 2, 2024 on CBS.
