Hazbin Hotel season 2 release date: What Amazon Prime Video and the actors have said about what's to come
An eternity is a hell of a long time to wait.

After years of waiting, the first season of Hazbin Hotel has finally landed on Amazon Prime. The pilot first aired back in 2019, but numerous delays meant that fans have waited an eternity to see the Princess of Hell in action. Of course, the first question on everyone’s mind has been when we will get a Hazbin Hotel season two (the second question is 'What to watch next,' but we've got you covered on that one here), but that question is a bit complicated.
The good news is that Hazbin Hotel season two is already in the works at Amazon. Back in September 2023, it was announced that the studio had already commissioned the first two seasons of the chaotic animated show. However, by the time the first season aired in January 2024, there had been no release date for the second season of Hazbin Hotel.
As of right now, there still isn’t an official release date, but there is hope that it won’t see the same kind of delay that hounded the first season. The first season was delayed for a long time due to the global pandemic of 2020 and then further delayed by 2023’s writer's and actor's strikes. It is unlikely that the second season will need to contend with this unique set of circumstances. In fact, Amazon will likely want to fast-track the second season since the show became the largest global debut for any new Prime Video animated series during its opening weekend.
That speculation was further fueled when Erika Henningson, who plays Charlie Morningstar in the series, posted an Instagram Story of herself standing in a recording booth with the caption “We back and I couldn’t be happier” followed by a tag for the official Hazbin Hotel Instagram account.
Even with these factors in mind, we still don’t know when the second season of Hazbin Hotel will be released. It could come in 2024 or we may have to wait years to see if Charlie succeeds in her efforts to reform Hell.
