Interview with a Vampire season 2 release date: A new season of gothic horror and romance is coming soon
One cast member won't be coming back, unfortunately.
Popverse's top stories of the day
- Harley Quinn is making April Fools Day 2025 one to remember with a not-so-sweet-smelling DC comic book special
- Watch the D&D, Warhammer, Mega Man, and more anthology panel Secret Level from Prime Video, filmed at NYCC 2024
- Nintendo's long-time Mario voice actor reveals the secret behind voicing Mario's Dad in the movie (and how it goes back to his original audition decades ago)
In the realm of gothic horror, few names loom as large as Anne Rice. Her Vampire Chronicles series has long been what the rest of the genre is measured against. It has been almost two years since Interview with a Vampire first debuted on AMC, so fans are eagerly waiting for the second. The wait will soon be over, as Interview with a Vampire season two is just around the corner.
Delving into the dark world of vampires in 1910s New Orleans, Interview with a Vampire season one ended with a significant new reveal, so the more than a year-and-a-half wait for new episodes has been excruciating. Interview with a Vampire season two will premiere on May 12, 2024 on AMC and AMC+.
Not every cast member has made it to the second season, unfortunately. Bailey Bass, who played Claudia, the 14-year-old girl who is turned into a vampire, in the first season won’t be reprising the role when the second season finally airs in 2024. Delainey Hayles will instead play the role. No official reason for Bass’ departure has been given, with both parties saying that it was “due to a variety of unforeseen circumstances.” It is possible that her role as Tsireya in James Cameron’s Avatar: The Way of Water and future sequels in the blockbuster franchise.
The rest of the cast from season one will be back when Interview with a Vampire returns for season two on May 12, 2024. It will air on AMC, with episodes also released on AMC+ every week.
