Berserk fans, rejoice! The legendary manga and inspiration for the anime adaptation of the same name is back in English with an all new chapter. Coming to stores in March of 2025, Berserk Vol. 42 will be published by Dark Horse Manga and is created by Studio Gaga. The news comes from Dark Horse themselves at their manga panel for Anime NYC 2024.

The story for Berserk Vol. 42 is a continuation of the one began by late manga artist Kentaro Miura's, as related to Studio Gaga and supervised by Koiji Mori. Following Miura's death in May of 2021, Mori has been overseeing the continuing development of the Berserk manga, which remains unfinished. Vol. 42 will be the first volume of the manga produced without Miura since his passing. The Japanese language version of the volume has been available in Japan since September of 2023.

The most recent volume of the horror fantasy manga focused on the character of Casca, former companion of the much-cosplayed Guts the Black Swordsman, and her processing memories of the horrors they've encountered together and apart.

Berserk Vol. 42 is headed to book stores across the US on March 18, 2025.
