Patton Oswalt, Second City Improv, and more come to C2E2 2025 with the convention's first ever Comedy track

The Comedy track at C2E2 includes the casts of Psych and Futurama, plus the event's first ever stand-up special.

No matter what your fandom is, we all like a good laugh. Fortunately, C2E2 2025 is here to help by introducing its first-ever Comedy track. Come meet, watch, and laugh with some of the funniest people from film, TV, and stage will be there, making Chicago the place to be for comedy fans from April 11-13, 2025.

One of the early highlights comes on Friday evening when comedian/actor Patton Oswalt brings his Effervescent comedy tour to Chicago’s C2E2. Taking place on the Main Stage at 8 pm on Friday, April 11, Oswalt’s shows are known for their pointed takes on pop culture and brutally touching insight into the chaotic world we live in. If you’ve never seen Patton Oswalt live, C2E2 could be the chance to change that. Tickets must be purchased ahead of time to avoid missing out.

As if that wasn’t enough to tickle your funny bone, the legendary Second City Live improv group is joining C2E2 2025. For over 60 years, they have been launching the careers of some of your favorite comedy performers, including Tina Fey, Stephen Colbert, and Bill Murray. On Saturday, April 12 at 5 pm CT, they will be up on the Main Stage to blend their improv magic with everything geeky, with comedic takes on comics, sci-fi, and fantasy blended in. You never know what you’ll see at an improv show, so it is always worth checking out.

Meanwhile, in The Tavern, the new chillout space coming to C2E2 this year, comedian/actor Grant Lyon will be hosting interactive game shows on Saturday, April 12 at 12:15 pm and 2:45 pm. Both are a chance to ask – and answer – silly questions as you relax and refuel before hitting the show floor again.
