DC All In vs. Absolute Batman, Wonder Woman & more coming in Fall 2025 from DC

At New York Comic Con, the DC All In and Absolute DC architect revealed he was working on a "fall thing" that will advance the storyline started in DC All In Special #1

Following the success of DC All In Special #1 and Absolute Batman #1, it’s not entirely surprising to discover that DC is… well, all in on DC All In. Speaking during Retailer Day at New York Comic Con 2024, Absolute Batman writer — and DC All In architect — Scott Snyder revealed that plans for the initiative and the storyline winding through it are in place for the next couple of years already… and stealth announced what we’re all going to be reading a year from now, as well.

“With this, the feeling was, if we come back and do this, we really want to commit to it and build something important,” Snyder said during a presentation at Lunar Distributor’s Wednesday night event, saying that DC has “a real commitment to comics” at this time.

“What we have been able to do with this is say, ‘We're going to commit into this story for a couple years and do it that way. So what happens in DC All In Special is going to build for a year through a number of books and then I'm going to stay on, with amazing editor Paul Kaminski and work with him on our fall thing a year from now, it's going to be a lot of fun, a big event that brings a lot of this stuff together.”

A big fall 2025 event written by Scott Snyder that builds on the meta-story about the DCU and the Absolute Universe? Sounds like a must-read to us… but don’t think you’ll have to wait a year for the Darkseid story to continue unfolding. That’s actually going to start happening right away.

“With Mark Waid and Justice League [Unlimited], you'll see in the very first issue some of the Darkseid stuff coming to fruition,” Snyder teased. “You'll see, like with Darkseid gone, a lot of the story this year will be like, what comes in to fill that void. There's a cosmic need for a dark god, for there to be almost like a like the most evil, most dark presence in the DCU. What will that be? And that question will fuel a lot of things, all throughout [2025] into ’26 — and [it will] fuel the event that like we're talking about going a year from now.”
