Don't miss New York Comic Con 2024, happening October 17 through 20. Popverse will be there all four days, immersing ourselves in the pop culture party full of vendors, events, and celebrities from the worlds of comics, movies, TV, gaming, and more. Buy tickets now!


New York Comic Con is the crossroads of pop culture, where fans can meet comics celebrities, movie stars. cosplay legends, TV icons, and Duo the Owl and Lily from Duolingo.

That's right, the Duolingo mascots Duo the Owl and Lily are coming to NYCC 2024. And Duo's not nocturnal - he's a day owl, and will be onsite Thursday, October 17 through Saturday, October 19 at the event. This is part of a broader partnership between Duolingo and WEBTOON and an all-new webtoons series Duo Unleashed, available now on WEBTOON.

Duo the Owl and Lily will be taking part in meet-and-greets at the following times at the WEBTOONS Booth (#2835):

  • Thursday, October 17 from 1:30 PM - 2:30 PM ET
  • Thursday, October 17 from 4:30 PM - 5:30 PM ET
  • Friday, October 18 from 10:30 AM - 12:30 PM ET
  • Friday, October 18 from 3 PM - 6:30 PM ET
  • Saturday, October 19 from 12:30 PM - 2:30 PM ET
  • Saturday, October 19 from 6:30 PM - 7 PM ET
