We’re literally just days away from Emerald City Comic Con 2025 as we write this — some of us are packing as we speak for the trip — but that doesn’t mean that we can’t start planning for the future, as well. ECCC 2026 is just around the annual corner, and we have the dates for next year’s Pacific Northwest extravaganza.

Emerald City Comic Con 2026 will take place Thursday March 5 through Sunday March 8, 2026, once again at the expansive Seattle Convention Center in Seattle, Washington.

Once again this makes ECCC 2026 one of the first major conventions of the year, and a fine start to Convention Season 2026. It’s too early for any announcements concerning guests or panels — we still have this year’s show to get through! — but keep your eyes on Popverse and the official ECCC website for more details as they emerge across the next few months.

Where is Emerald City Comic Con?

Since its inception, Emerald City Comic Con has been homed in Seattle, WA; in 2008, the event moved to the Seattle Convention Center, where it’s been located ever since — even when the Seattle Convention Center split into multiple buildings, back in 2023; for that first year, ECCC was located solely in the new building, the SCCC Summit, but in 2024, it expanded to include both the Summit and the original Arch building.

How big is the Emerald City Comic Con?

ECCC brings in somewhere around 85,000 across its four day run, and has even brought in up to 100,000 people for specific events in the past. In other words: it’s a pretty big show.

Why is it called Emerald City?

Oh, this one’s simple; Seattle itself is nicknamed the Emerald City because of its perpetual foliage; Washington state as a whole is known as “the evergreen state” for the same reason. (And you thought it was an incredibly prescient Wicked reference.)
