Every year, cosplayers from around the world show off their creations at conventions - and the best of the best chase glory at the Cosplay Central Crown Championships. From Australia to South Africa, across Europe and of course the USA, master-level cosplayers head to their local participating conventions to compete for the chance to represent their regions and a round-trip ticket to the yearly finals.

This past weekend, cosplayers congregated in Miami Beach for ReedPop's Florida Supercon 2024 to take part in its Cosplay Central Crown Championships regional qualifier (which you can watch in full now). Cosplay judges Lutavia Cosplay, Sunlight of Astora, and UbersCosplay were on-hand to get up close and check out all the incredible details and find out all the clever tricks used to create the competitors' costumes in an intense pre-judging session before the event itself on Saturday evening, with a final performance in front of a live crowd where the winners were crowned.

The 2024 Cosplay Central Crown Championships winners from Florida Supercon are...

The overall winners at Florida Supercon 2024's Cosplay Central Crown Championships are:

• 1st place overall - Jettie Media as Leah the Prime Evil from Diablo 3 (Instagram)
• 2nd place overall - Starfall Blade as Dragoon from FF14 (Instagram)
• 3rd place - Bryan Heart as armored Sailor Saturn from Sailor Moon (Instagram)

And the category winners from Florida Supercon's 2024 Cosplay Central Crown Championships are:

• Best Armor: Bayo Cosplay as Skull Kid from The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask.
• Best Needlework: Heir of Sky as Crowley from Good Omens
• Best FX: Victor’s Pictures as Bumblebee from Transformers 

What does the 2024 Cosplay Central Crown Championships winner from Florida Supercon receive?

The first place winner Jettie Media received a check for $1,000, and will be flown to 2025's C2E2 in Chicago to complete against cosplayers from the other US regional qualifiers (taking place at New York Comic Con, Emerald City Comic Con, and C2E2) and decide on an overall US winner. That US winner will then compete in the global finals with the international finalists, all in one incredible show at C2E2 2025.
