The 2024 Harvey Awards are coming...

The biggest comic convetion in North America, New York Comic Con, returns October 17 - 20. NYCC 2024 tickets are on-sale now for those who rolled over your Fan Verification profile, with the general on-sale starting June 26.

Where do you celebrate the best comics of the year? No place other than the biggest U.S. comics event of the year - New York Comic Con. With NYCC 2024 scheduled to take place October 17 - 20 this year, plans are already in motion for the the annual winners ceremony for one of the most prestigious comics awards around, the Harvey Awards.

Organized by the Harvey Awards Executive Committee and ReedPop (Popverse's parent company), the nominees for this year's Harvey Awards are being determined by a select group of comics industry professionals, press, publishers, creators, educators, librarians, and retailers. They are currently going through the longboxes, bookshelves, websites, and apps to determine the best comic books, graphic novels, manga, and adaptations of the past year.

The 2024 Harvey Awards will have the following categories:

• Book of the Year
• Digital Book of the Year
• Best Children's Book
• Best Young Adult Book
• Best Adaptation from Comic Book/Graphic Novel
• Best Manga
• Best International Book

2024 is the first year that Harvey Awards nominations are open to retailers, with the thinking being that the people at your local comic shops are the boots on the ground and know what's selling most, and what people are most excited about.

The Harvey Awards Steering Committee will also be honoring new additions to the Harvey Hall of Fame.

The 2024 Harvey Awards nominees are expected to be announced in July, with the 2024 Harvey Awards ceremony scheduled to take place on the evening of Friday, October 18 at New York Comic Con.
