Capcom reminds fans there's more to Monster Hunter Wilds than just Gemma

Fans are smitten for Monster Hunter Wilds' Gemma the Smithy - so much so that Capcom is reminding you there's other characters in the game

Since her introduction to fans earlier this year, fans have been thirsting for Gemma the Smithy from the upcoming 2025 Capcom game Monster Hunter Wilds. During an event here at PAX West 2024, two people behind the game talked about it - and inferred that her popularity might even be overshadowing the rest of the game.

When asked about Gemma's popularity, Monster Hunter Wilds producer Ryozo Tsujimoto said they're very much "aware" she is "very popular globally, but "there are also other characters such as Alma and Olivia so I hope everyone keeps an eye out for them as well - especially during the story."

Earlier this year at Summer Game Fest 2024, Ryozo told GamesRadar that he and his colleagues have "seen the love for Gemma, the fan art and things" (uh oh!), and that "it's honestly gone beyond our expectations in terms of how much love has been poured out for."

Monster Hunter Wilds is anticipated to debut in 2025 on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X and Series S, and Windows PC.
