Jason Blum unveils new poster for Five Night’s at Freddy’s 2 at NYCC (with a new character)

Are you ready to spend five more nights at Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza? In 2023 Blumhouse and Universal released Five Night’s at Freddy’s, a film adaptation of the fan favorite horror video game series. The movie was a box office success, and it wasn’t long before a sequel was greenlit. Ever since the sequel was announced, fans have been hungry for any news or updates on the next installment. Thanks to New York Comic Con, we have a HUGE one.
During a panel at NYCC, Blumhouse CEO Jason Blum was asked about the FNAF sequel. “Well, I suppose I have to give a little something,” Blum teased. “People are so used to me being coy and annoying about this, that no one believes I’m going to give anything. I get that. I am coy and annoying about it. But I’m not going to be coy and annoying today. I can’t say anything, but I can show you a little something, and here it is.”
A poster was shown onscreen, featuring Toy Freddy, one of the animatronics from the video game franchise. As you can imagine, the entire room erupted in cheers. “That’s our poster. Can we have a little more excitement? I mean, nobody has seen the poster before. That was something. Next time it will be a trailer. But that’s our poster guys, that’s the first time it’s ever been seen. It was very hard to get that here today, just so you know. Thank you Karen Barragan and Universal.”
Blum didn’t share any details on the plot, but he promised that fans won’t be disappointed. “It’s gonna be awesome. If you like the first movie, you’re gonna love the second one,” Blum teased.
Five Night’s at Freddy’s 2 will hit theaters on December 5, 2025.
