New York Comic Con 2024 doesn't start until tomorrow for most of you - but for comics pros, it began today, and Popverse is here covering the whole thing.

That means that this year's NYCC 2024 is already underway, and even if you're here, you can't possibly do everything. So Popverse, as your pop culture bestie and your backstage bud when it comes to ReedPop shows, has over a dozen people in and around the Javits Center all week - writing, filming, asking, and generally chasing the vibes and giving it all to you. For the firehose of it all go to our frontpage, but if you need some curation this ar"ticle will do just that with the NYCC 2024 highlights.

But don't forget, we are livestreaming the NYCC 2024 Main Stage and Empire Stage for free all weekend, and it'll then be available on-demand exclusively for Popverse members.

The big comics news of NYCC 2024 (so far)

NYCC 2024 has just started, and we have been busy writing. Here are the highlights so far:

NYCC 2024 Panels

There are some amazing panels happening at the Javits throughout the four public days of the show, whether you’re interested in big celebrities —  What We Do In The Shadows on Friday at 4:45! Creature Commandos, The Simpsons, and CBS’ Ghosts on Saturday! — or big comic news, NYCC has you covered. (There are big DC and Marvel comic book panels happening all week… and for those not at the show, don’t worry, because we’re live-blogging them for members as they happen.)

And that’s not even talking about the panels moderated by your occasionally humble Popverse team! If you’re looking to find us at the show, we hosted two panels on Thursday, and have more coming such as V.E. Schwab’s spotlight on Friday at 11am in 406.1 (Senior video producer Veronica Valencia), the Red Dead Redemption panel in the same room at 12:30pm Friday (Video producer Ashley V. Robinson), Popverse Think Tank in 406.1 on Saturday (Popverse Editor-in-Chief Chris Arrant), and Popversus on Sunday at 12:45 in 406.3 (Ashley V. Robinson). Come and say hi; we’re friendly, I promise.

Before you ask: yes, we're going to be covering these panels if you happen to miss any in person.

NYCC 2024 Showfloor

As always, there are some genuinely impressive exhibitors to look for on the show floor, including Funko, Paramount+, HBO’s The Franchise, and the always impressive Dragon Ball booth. Comic publishers showing up and showing out include Abrams Books, DSTLRY, Webtoon, Tiny Onion, and Marvel — and we’d be remiss not to point out digital comics platform GlobalComix, as well.

Cosplayers might want to check out Triforce Cosplay for their accessories and weapons, or head up to Cosplay Central, where Parallel Life Studios are going to be displaying their work and also heading up some demonstrations throughout the weekend.

NYCC 2024 Artist Alley

And then, of course, there’s the very packed Artist Alley, with everyone from Absolute Batman writer Scott Snyder to Thundercats artist Drew Moss, graphic designer and illustrator Kelly McMahon to Brian Cook’s Butts on Things (Yes, it’s what it sounds like) showing up. There is a whole host of creative talent waiting to meet you — and all you have to do is show up and say hello. If you can't be there in person, don't worry; Ashley V. Robinson will once again be speaking to the latest and greatest as part of her ongoing Artist Alley Asks series. Keep your eyes on the site for more.

The best way to plan your trip if you’re attending the show is by downloading the NYCC 2024 Mobile App — and for those who can’t make it… that’s what we’re here for. Bookmark this page and keep coming back through the entire show.
