There’s much more than comics at any comic con, and that’s especially true at New York Comic Con 2024. In addition to the celebrity guests from film and television, NYCC 2024 is bringing back its traditional Writers Block programming, with more than 100 prose authors — including some of the biggest names in fantasy, YA, and sci-fi — taking part in over 50 panels across the entire four-day show. (And, yes, they’ll be signing and meeting fans, as well!)
Want to talk witches with the likes of Judy Ann Nock, Michael Herkes, Starr Ravenhawk, and Jason Myers? You can do that, just as you can hear enjoy Gregory Maguire, John Scalzi, and Libba Bray (amongst others) talk about their favorite — and least favorite — bad reviews, or watch Betty Corrello, Ryan Lasala, Jayci Lee, and Danielle Paige dissect, desecrate, and dissolve some beloved genre tropes under the watchful eye of Stephanie Carr. And that’s not even mentioning the special Romantasy brunch on Thursday morning. (Yes, really.)
There’s a lot happening at Writers Block at NYCC 2024. You can get the full line-up of participating authors right here, and if you’re looking for some of our favorite panels from the programming, keep reading!
