Be in the room with the decision-makers behind the biggest comics in the world with Popverse Think Tank, a new comic convention panel series we're launching at this year's New York Comic Con. This is a rare chance to see, hear, and take part in a discussion with the power players from the major publishers.

I will be leading the conversation for the inaugural Popverse Think Tank, and will be joined by four of the top representatives from the largest comic book publishers in the world. And you, of course. Here's who will be joining us: 

David S. Lee, WEBTOON

David S. Lee is WEBTOON's Head of US operations. He has been with the company since 2014, and is in charge of sourcing, developing, and delivering webtoons and other content for the English-language side of the comics company. Read our 2023 interview with Lee here.

Hope Donovan, VIZ Media

Hope Donovan is the editorial director at VIZ Media. As a 20-year veteran of the manga industry, Donovan has occupied nearly every editorial position from intern to managing editor, and also has worked as a freelance manga letterer, manga copyeditor, and on English adaptations.

Michael Kelly, BOOM! Studios

Michael Kelly is the newly-minted publisher of BOOM! Studios following its acquisition by Penguin Random House. Through his 30 year career, Kelly has done every corner of book publishing - from working a bookstore stockroom to being the head of licensing for a major company, and now as publisher. He launched the Energon Universe with Robert Kirkman and Skybound in 2023, the bestselling comics in Hasbro’s 100+ year corporate history, and produced original comic content for My Little Pony, G.I. JOE, Transformers, JEM & The Holograms, CLUE, Micronauts, and many more. 

Chip Mosher, DSTLRY & Harvey Awards

Chip Mosher is the co-founder and chief creative officer of DSTLRY, a next-generation comics publisher focused on creator-owned content. Before DSTLRY, he spent 11 years at comiXology/Amazon, where he led the comiXology Originals (CO) line, earning multiple Eisner Awards, Harvey Award nominations, and a GLAAD nomination.  Prior to comiXology, Mosher ran BOOM! Studios' marketing and sales department, while editing several titles, securing BOOM! their first Eisner win. As a writer, he co-created the graphic novels Blacking Out with Peter Krause and Left On Mission with Francesco Francavilla. Mosher also serves as co-chair on the Harvey Awards Steering Committee.

Popverse Think Tank will take place Saturday, October 19 at New York Comic Con 2024, beginning at 10:30 am in room 406.1 in the Javits Center.
