MCU First Look: Daredevil and Kingpin's Born Again costumes debut at NYCC 2024 before Marvel Studios debut

The Marvel Studios series might not have a complete release date just yet but we know the costumes are looking sharp

Marvel has been busy dropping all kinds of news during New York Comic Con, but it isn’t just what’s going on in their pages that people are excited to learn more about. Daredevil: Born Again has been delayed, rewritten, and revamped multiple times over the past few years, but the release date for it is looming on the horizon – we think. We’re still waiting for an official trailer for the Marvel Studios series, but fans at New York Comic Con can get a close-up look at Daredevil’s costume from Daredevil: Born Again on the show floor.

The lines are long at the Marvel booth (no surprise there), but fortunately, you don’t need to brave them to get a good look at the Daredevil costume. We were able to get a good look at the details of Charlie Cox’s new super suit and it looks beautifully functional. Armored chest and abs. Gauntlets and boots that look like they could deliver some punishment. Of all the costumes we’ve seen from Daredevil over the years, this is the one that has the most comic book feel.

But wait – there’s more. Not only is there a first look at the Daredevil costume, but Wilson Fisk’s suit is also right next to it. It is a decidedly more grey and subdued number than we saw in Hawkeye, lacking the sheer bulk we have come to expect from the character, but the American flag pin on the lapel could be giving a little hint at the Kingpin’s political ambitions in Daredevil: Born Again.

Want to snag your own pics of these two costumes? You’ll need to be on the show floor of New York Comic Con and make your way to Booth 2153 this weekend. Or wait until we finally have an official release date for the Disney+ series.
