Venom star Tom Hardy would like to fight Spider-Man “right now”

At New York Comic Con 2024, Venom's Tom Hardy called out Marvel's Friendly Neighborhood hero.

New York Comic Con 2024 closed its second day with some of the cast and director of Venom: The Last Dance talking about the new film. After director Kelly Marcel confirmed that the film is “the last Venom movie,” host Josh Horowitz asked whether there was any chance that Venom could ever interact with Spider-Man.

Having just kidded that he was “out of a job,” Hardy responded immediately: “I would like to fight Spider-Man. I would like to fight him now.”

As the crowd roared, Horowitz wondered whether Hardy meant as himself or his character Eddie Brock. “Both,” Hardy joked. “I am happy to fight Spider-Man today. We’d set some rules. And in a movie, 100%.”

“I would love to see Venom and Spider-Man,” Marcel agreed. “Who knows?”

Venom: The Last Dance is in theaters October 24. It might not feature Spider-Man, but it does feature Venom Horse, and who can resist that?
