Well, it takes place on Thanksgiving Day, of course. For those feeling a bit lost or tuning in from outside the United States: that's Thursday, November 23.

The Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade is celebrated in Manhattan. It starts at West 77th Street & Central Park West and then heads down to 34th Street to Macy's Herald Square. You can find the full route here.

The iconic event will start at 8:30am in the morning with a performance by Jon Batiste.
How and where to watch the Macy's Thanksgiving Parade:
If you're not going to the parade physically, you can tune into NBC live from 8:30am to noon or stream it live on Peacock.
What are the live performances during the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade?
There will be a bit of everything, so expect Broadway and live pop performances as well as 12 marching bands, 700 clowns, 9 performance groups, and much more. You can learn about the entire lineup here.
Famous performers include Brandy, David Foster, Katharine McPhee, and Ashley Park, among others. Moreover, Cher will perform a new holiday song on 34th Street, so it'll be a busy celebration.
What new balloons are joining the parade?
You can look forward to several new balloons joining the parade this year. New additions include Beagle Scout Snoopy, Blue Cat & Chugs, and Monkey D. Luffy from One Piece.The giant Snoopy balloon, one of this year's highlights, celebrates the 50th anniversary of the Beagle Scouts. Other balloons set to make stellar appearances include Grogu from The Mandalorian, Goku from Dragon Ball, and Kung Fu Panda's Po. You can see photos of every single balloon herez.
If you're around, you can get an early look at the balloons during the balloon inflation event on Wednesday, November 22. It takes place on the Upper West Side.
