Are we ready for something new so soon after Deku's story comes to an end?

It is always sad to see something we love come to an end. With the manga’s final chapter just a few days away, fans of My Hero Academia still have plenty to look forward to, though. Not only is the anime still ongoing, complete with a new film due out in Japan this week, but there is apparently something new in the works from Kohei Horikoshi and his team. A new announcement has been teased, coming just a day after the final chapter is released.

We still don’t know what this new, secret My Hero Academia project is; all that has been said is that an announcement will be revealed on August 5, 2024. That comes just one day after the manga’s story concludes with Chapter 430 and less than a week after the latest film, My Hero Academia: You’re Next, hits Japanese cinemas.

In the absence of information, plenty of rumors and theories have sprung up. Some fans are convinced that a new manga series will be announced about the students of Class 1-A in their Pro Hero careers. The timing of the announcement lends itself to this idea, though, knowing what we know about how MHA ends that doesn’t feel very likely. The idea of a new anime series based on My Hero Academia: Vigilantes, the spin-off manga series, feels more likely, but it is impossible to know until we see the official announcement.

It is going to be an emotional weekend for My Hero Academia fans and waiting for this new announcement is only going to make things tougher. The rumored My Hero Academia secret project will be announced on August 5, 2024.
