Marvel Comics will be celebrating Pride Month this year by looking at its LGBTQIA+ characters as well as their straight allies.

As revealed in Marvel Comics' June 2024 solicitations, the publisher will be doing a series of 8 variant covers under the theme of 'Pride Allies.' These eight covers will be on Marvel's top books including X-Men, Amazing Spider-Man, and Captain America, and will be drawn by two artists: Betsy Cola and Davi Go.

"Each piece teams up LGBTQIA+ characters with one of their fellow icons, showcasing both the spirit of Pride Month and exemplifying the importance of strong allyship," reads Marvel's subsequent announcement.

As Popverse understands it, these will all feature LGBTQIA+ Marvel characters - and also include their allies as a kind of 'team-up' illustration - for instance with Northstar and Spider-Man, and Rachel Summers and Daredevil.

This is in addition to its annual Marvel's Voices: Pride Anthology, which this year is being published May 29 as X-Men Wedding Special #1.
