The magical girl superhero cartoon Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug & Cat Noir is about to grow into something new by getting smaller (again). Chibi-style, that is.

Ladybug and Cat Noir are once again getting small for an original graphic novel titled Miraculous Chibi: Pizza Pursuit and Other Cat Tales. This series takes inspiration from the hit 2018 spinoff cartoon Miraculous Chibi, but this is the first volume in a new publishing partnership between Miraculous' owner ZAG and the YA comics company Papercutz (a division of Mad Cave Studios).

"Spots on with everyone's favorite bugaboo, Ladybug, and her trusted partner, the purrfect Cat Noir. This dynamic hero duo is hanging out on Parisian roofs and, when they're not saving the day, they're getting into some super hijinks! What happens when Ladybug and Cat Noir share a pizza - and Cat Noir runs off with it?!" reads Papercutz' description of this OGN. "Plus, does catnip work only on felines? Or... could a little spritz attract the miraculous Ladybug?"

Miraculous Chibi: Pizza Pursuit and Other Cat Tales is written by Josh Trujillo and Carrie Harris, and illustrated by Lex Hobson and Ryan Jampole.

"Marinette, or Ladybug, has a special place in my heart," asays the books editor, Stephanie Brooks. "Genuinely, every time I see Asian representation on the screen or in a book, I am thrilled. I am honored. I am so excited for the kid I once was, and I wholeheartedly hope that what I missed is here for today’s audience It is my personal and professional goal that our books will continue to inspire and empower people - the ordinary can be miraculous, and anyone can be a hero."

Miraculous Chibi: Pizza Pursuit and Other Cat Tales is due out October 14, 2024, and is available now for pre-order on Amazon, Barnes & Noble, and Bookshop.
