Moana 2 is coming this Fall, and if the sizzle reel feauturing Moana fans that Disney shared at their presentation at CinemaCon this year is to be believed, the whole world is waiting for more Moana.
Maui actor Dwayne Johnson took the stage to introduce Moana 2 (he was also awarded an industry award during the presentation), which he called "more than a movie," due to its ties to his heritage and his family (Maui is based on Johnson's grandfather High Chief Mavia).

During the presentation, the audience was shown some early footage from Moana 2, including a full song, which was not given a title at the presentation, we hazard to guess is titled 'Who We're Meant to Be.' The song features Moana on her return journey home, excited to be back at her island, with her community equally excited about her return.
Montunui has changed since Moana brought seafaring to its shores, with boat builders and sailors all around. Moana's father even appears on a boat of his own, racing his daughter back to the shore (and losing). In the excerpt we also got a peek at fan favorite animal sidekicks Heihei the rooster and Pua the pig.
Both Auliʻi Cravalho and Dwayne Johnson are returning for Moana 2, alongside new director David G. Derrick Jr. and composers and co-songwriters from the original film, Mark Mancina and Opetaia Foa'i.
Moana 2 releases in theaters on November 27.
