The immediate future of the MCU won't include the Scarlet Witch, as Elizabeth Olsen says she's not going to be in London for Avengers: Doomsday and Secret Wars shooting
Olsen is also saying things like, "it’s really important for me to make choices outside of Marvel that reflect my own taste" in recent interviews...

Wanda Maximoff’s MCU journey really might be over, for now, at least.
Elizabeth Olsen has seemingly put many fans’ hopes of a return for the Scarlet Witch in the upcoming Avengers: Doomsday and Avengers: Secret Wars movies to rest by revealing in a new interview that she will not be returning to the Marvel Cinematic Universe for those projects... and talking about how important it is for her to make choices for her career outside of anything Marvel related.
Speaking to the Hollywood Reporter to promote indie thriller The Assessment, Olsen said, “I didn’t realize this until about six years ago, but because Marvel and its influence takes up so much physical time and space in the world, it’s really important for me to make choices outside of Marvel that reflect my own taste. Your taste does create the artist that you are, and that wasn’t something I was thinking about when I first started working. I was just grateful to be a working actor. I wanted to stretch myself into different roles, and I wasn’t really thinking about my taste. So the opportunity to return to films like this is a reflection of the people I want to work with and my own personal taste in ways, even if I’m not the filmmaker.”
When asked if she was going to be working for Joe and Anthony Russo would be keeping her busy in London soon — the two Avengers movies start shooting there shortly — Olsen revealed that’s not on the cards, and that her schedule is pretty busy anyway; she’ll be filming a television pilot for FX called Seven Sisters in the United States, instead.
For the conspiracy-minded, yes, we know that Olsen might be playing coy, and that FX is owned by the same parent company as Marvel — both are Walt Disney Company properties — so scheduling could be worked out if she has an Avangers cameo that no-one’s talking about right now. And yet… it certainly sounds like she’s done with Marvel for now… and Wanda is dead… isn’t she…?
