Beetlejuice Beetlejuice cast: Who is joining Michael Keaton and Winona Ryder for the sequel?
There’s some powerful goth energy at work in Beetlejuice Beetlejuice.
Popverse's top stories of the day
- Harley Quinn is making April Fools Day 2025 one to remember with a not-so-sweet-smelling DC comic book special
- Watch the D&D, Warhammer, Mega Man, and more anthology panel Secret Level from Prime Video, filmed at NYCC 2024
- Nintendo's long-time Mario voice actor reveals the secret behind voicing Mario's Dad in the movie (and how it goes back to his original audition decades ago)
Like Beetlejuice, some things never truly stay dead. The first Beetlejuice film was a core piece of media for an entire generation of goth kids. And the influence of the Tim Burton’s Academy Award-winning film isn’t stopping there.
A sequel to Burton’s film, titled Beetlejuice Beetlejuice, is out this fall, and will feature familiar faces like Michael Keaton and Winona Ryder. They’ll be joined by several more actors with some serious goth cachet, making Beetlejuice Beetlejuice one of the most highly anticipated films for this fall. Here is the cast of Beetlejuice Beetlejuice:
- Michael Keaton as Beetlejuice
- Winona Ryder as Lydia Deetz
- Catherine O’Hara as Delia Deetz
- Jenna Ortega as Astrid Deetz
- Justin Theroux as Rory
- Willem Dafoe as Wolf Jackson
- Monica Bellucci as Delores
- Burn Gorman as Father Damien
- Arthur Conti as Jeremy
- Danny Devito as Janitor
Willem Dafoe has been on a hot streak recently with films involving the recently deceased. Dafoe notably played Godwin Baxter, nicknamed “God,” in Yorgos Lanthimos’s Poor Things. In Poor Things, Dafoe reanimated a dead woman played by Emma Stone back to life. Similarly, Burn Gorman excels in roles adjacent to the macabre, having collaborated with Guillermo del Toro in films like Guillermo del Toro’s Pinnochio, Crimson Peak, and Pacific Rim (okay, maybe not the most goth film in del Toro’s filmography, but it’s still a del Toro flick). Additionally, let’s not forget the icon Monica Bellucci and her roles in gothic masterpieces like Bram Stoker’s Dracula and the Brotherhood of the Wolf.
What’s also noticeable about the Beetlejuice Beetlejuice cast is the three generations of the Deetz family represented in Winona Ryder, Jenna Ortega, and Catherine O’Hara’s roles. It certainly looks like Beetlejuice Beetlejuice will be a family affair.
