Popverse Predicts Marvel Studios' Captain America: Brave New World

What will happen in the newest installment of the MCU, which sees Anthony Mackie in his first cinematic outing in the stripes and shield? Here's what team Popverse thinks

Welcome, indomitable reader, to Popverse Predicts. In this new, semi-regular series, we're going to be forecasting the events of the most popular upcoming movies and TV shows utilizing some of the most brilliant pop culture soothsayers we know of: that is, your humble Popverse team. Keep scrolling to learn what Popverse Predicts will happen in... Captain America: Brave New World.

But be warned: (Potential) spoilers follow.

As of this writing, we are scant hours away from the US release of Captain America: Brave New World. Though the film is technically the midpoint of Phase Five, in many ways, it is a new era for the MCU, the first movie to feature Sam Wilson taking on the Captain America mantle and the first film to return to the Studios' PG-13 roots after the R-Rated (but wildly successful) Deadpool & Wolverine. Naturally, fans have a whole host of ideas about what's going to happen in the film, and Popverse certainly isn't exempt.

Below, you'll find a list of what the Popverse team expects to see happen in the fourth Captain America movie, which stars Anthony Mackie, Harrison Ford, Giancarlo Esposito, and Tim Blake Nelson. Go ahead and read the predictions now, and then come back to Popverse on February 21 (one week after the film's release) to see who got the most predictions right.

Consider this a meta post-credits scene for Marvel fans - the four key articles you need to read next to continue the thrills:

Grant DeArmitt

Grant DeArmitt: Grant DeArmitt (he/him) likes horror, comics, and the unholy union of the two. As Popverse's Staff Writer, he criss-crosses the pop culture landscape bringing you the news and opinions about the big things (and the next big things). In the past, and despite their better judgment, he has written for Nightmare on Film Street and Newsarama. He lives in Brooklyn with his partner, Kingsley, and corgi, Legs.
